To all my loyal customers, I have big news! After 22 years baking our amazing pound cakes for tens of thousands of people around the country, I am retiring from North Carolina to Florida.
The good news is that I am delighted to announce that Well-Bred Bakery & Café, also in Weaverville, has acquired Cakes by Jane. Founded in 2002, Well-Bred Bakery is one of our town’s most loved establishments.
When Hurricane Helene wiped out their second location in Asheville last year, the owner, Judy Glicken, and her team began looking for a way to replace the loss. In the end the disaster of Helene turned into good luck for Cakes by Jane, as our legacy can continue in excellent hands.
Judy and her team have worked closely with me to make the transition as seamless as possible and convenient for you. Nothing has changed in the cakes: not the recipes, not the ingredients – in fact, they’re using the same pans.
