Well-Bred Bakery's 1st Supper Club . . .

It has begun!  The Well-Bred Supper Club's first dinner was Friday, November 4 and it was a resounding success according to the guests.  Raves were sent to the kitchen -- making for two very proud chefs.

The Supper Club is a once a month event for 46 diners.  A four-course menu, elegantly served (right down to the white tablecloths and napkins) is accompanied by paired wines. The next Supper Club is Thursday, November 17 with seating beginning at 6:00 p.m. 

The menu:

Amuse
Spiced Lentil Cake, Tomato Jam, Thyme Scented Marscapone  

Appetizer
Crab Bisque with Parmesan Crisp
Grilled Endive and Asparagus with Bacon, Hombolt Fog Bleu Cheese, Dried Cherry Shittake Vinaigrette

Entrée
Mixed Grill: 
Salt & Pepper Grilled Ribeye with Creamed Spinach
Pan Seared Wild Salmon with Rum Glaze, Butternut Squash Ravioli

Dessert
Chocolate Almond Torte, Almond Florentine, Espresso Ice Cream, Salted Caramel

Coffee and Tea

The Well-Bred Supper Club is pleased to introduce the creators of the Well-Bred Supper Club, Chefs Laura Bogard Taylor and Martha Beakes.  Laura is a stellar graduate of the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont.  Laura came to us after stints at the Grove Park Inn’s Horizons and Gabrielle’s at the former Richmond Hill Inn.  She’s orchestrated Well-Bred’s cuisine for seven years.

Martha Beakes graduated from the Florida Culinary Institute and after stints in Palm Beach, New Orleans and San Francisco came to the mountains.  She was Martha of Martha’s at Magnolia Mountain Inn in Hot Springs before Well-Bred captured her and her fabulous talents!

The next Supper Club is slated for Thursday, November 17.  Since we accomodate only 46 guests,  please make your reservations early, reservations are first come, first serve. Seating will be between 6 and 7 pm.
