Well-Bred Bakery offers more than a dozen beautiful and delicious artisan breads. - everything from Challah to Whole Grain. Here are a few favorites:
Challah : Our challah is pictured above -- before it goes into the oven and just after it comes out. Doesn't the warm, soft aroma just take your breath away? FYI, challah is a delightfully soft, lightly sweet, egg bread that comes in multiple formats - braids, sandwich loaves and a lovely Cranberry Pecan round (perfect for French Toast).
Whole Wheat : A sandwich loaf that is soft, lightly sweet, and generous in size. This loaf also serves as the basis for our Sunflower Wheat.
Italian Batard : Perfect for sandwiches, this large batard has a light, moist interior and crusty exterior.
Demi Baguette : A traditional French classic, buttery, wheaty, faintly sweet, a thin crust and silken texture.
Olive Oil & Rosemary : Extra virgin olive oil and fresh rosemary blend in this soft and pleasing bread with its silky texture and distinctive rosemary flavor.
Sourdough : This rustic loaf sports a moist and chewy interior, subtle sour flavor, and delicate crust.
Whole Grain : The complex nutty flavor and multi-grain texture of this wonderful oval loaf makes it a favorite for toast - spread with conserves or strong cheeses - or for dipping into hearty soups and stews.
